I forgot to tell you - Yukako is blooming - they are smallish flowers though.  It need to be repotted, if I can ever get to it!  I hope there are a few extra plants in the pot, so I can send to you in late spring.

    Hi Jan,

How exciting.  I hope you post some photos of Yukako for us to see.

No, sorry....I don't have FC2.  Never felt the need for it with my small collection.  Theme...hmmmm.  I do like your idea of a Winter Holiday theme.  There must be all sorts of plants with winter in the name; January, snow, etc.  I could google names, but that's all the help I would be with selection.  If you'd prefer to chose someone with FC2 to help with that, I'd understand.  I was thinking of holding the cards, but selfishly, nothing else.  My bad.  Let me know.

It's there now - very creative.  I want to try to get something in there too.  I don't even know if I will like how it looks, but I am going to try.  My blooming violets don't look very Christmasy to me.
Are you getting weather for Christmas?

LOL...it must be magic, 'cause I never even tried to post another photo.  Glad that you can see it now.  Not that creative, I'm afraid, but it's better than nuthin', I guess.  ;)

We did have some recent snowfall, but it was very mild today, and a lot melted.  Still white enough for Christmas.  My kids are coming on Christmas Eve, so I only hope that the roads are in good condition.  I am a regular worry wart, I'm afraid.

Shortest Day of the year today.  Now it will get lighter each day and I have visions of me back in my garden again...Woo Hoo!

Donna - looks like you posted a photo for VOM for December but there is nothing there.  Can you do it again?  I have extended the submission date until the 26th or so of December.
I like your picture in the member gallery!
Yukako has some flower stalks, and I need to repot, so I am hoping there are some suckers in there so I can send you one in the spring!  I will post a photo when flowers appear!  Finally - I had this plant in extreme shade for a long time, as that is the only place I could isolate!
    Merry Christmas, Jan

Hi Jan...I can't believe it's not showing up.  I can see it on my computer.  OK, I'll try it again.

Thanks for the Holiday Greetings.  Merry Christmas to you and your family as well.

Donna, glad you want it.  I was so excited because I thought it was the one you were looking for.  I know they are not the same name, but the letters are similar!  I paid $10 for it (I got one for myself - I love the green and purple - wonderful thing about Yukako - it is a chimera so no other way for us to have one of them).. give me your address to mail to.  Is the weather ok to mail now?

    Hi again Jan,

    My address is:

    Box 2661
    Grand Forks, British Columbia
    Canada  V0H 1H0

The weather has been in the high 60's lately so we are pretty safe for mailing, I think.  Now if we can just get over the border without it being confiscated, we'll be laughing.  Just make sure you fib on the green customs sticker and say it is anything but a plant.  How would you like payment?  Cheque, or money order? When you mail it, just let me know the cost of postage and I'll combine that with the $10.00 cost and send it to you.  You could provide me with your address then.  Sure hope it makes it here ok.

Very excited and so appreciative that you would do this for me Jan.

P.S.  Did you by any chance, order any violets from Nancy this Spring?

Donna - I went to Raleigh yesterday for the AVSA 2010 convention.  I thought I found Kei Yoki for you but it is Yukako that I bought.  After I got it, I finally remembered the name of what you want.  Anyway, I have Yukako to send to you if you want it.  It is not the same but a beautiful chimera just the same!!!!

    Hi Jan!

I have been having computer problems.  A new computer has been orderd and I should be up and running again normally by the end of next week.  (Fingers Crossed).

That is fantastic!  I would love to have a Yukako.  It is on my "want" list.  I can pay for postage and the cost of the little pretty, of course.  I have all but given up on Kei Yoki...don't know if it will ever happen.

This is very exciting and so appreciated, Jan.  Let me know the costs and I'll send it right away.
